A short film called Lily, which has just been posted online.
The master of horror is a jack of all trades. Stephen King celebrated Halloween by signing his very first cartoon. An animated short film titled Lilyproduced by the Dark Corners studio and put online for free (see below) last night.
It is in fact an adaptation of his short story Here There Be Tygers (1968) published in Ubris magazine before becoming part of the collection Skeleton Crew (1985).
Lily tells the story of a second grader who discovers a scary tiger hiding in the boys' bathroom. The hand-drawn animation is signed by the animator Pete Scalizittiin black and white with striking pops of green and red to emphasize the captivating themes of this 10-minute short. Kate Siegelicon of Mike Flanagan, directed the film and does the voices of all the characters. Watch below:
