Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette and Gabriel Basso give their opinions.
It's a film that was released on the sly across the Atlantic, and Clint Eastwood94, limited his participation in the promotion. Certainly so as not to have to answer this fateful question: Juror #2 will it be his last film?
The prolific director has never clearly stated his intention to stop, but for a while, it has been rumored that Juror #2his 40th film, could well mark the turning point towards retirement.
Absolutely not for Gabriel Basso. The actor of Juror #2 assures in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter: “I have a feeling that because people are saying this is his last movie, he's going to say, 'Fuck you, I'm going to make another one!' Just to prove them wrong. Even if it lasts five minutes… I have a feeling he'll find a way to attack everyone.”
HoweverClint Eastwood clearly did not confide in his actors, who do not know if the filmmaker has another project in mind. Nicholas Hoult And Tony Collette confirm to THR that they know nothing:
“I don't want to speculate” replies Hoult. “I'm just happy I got to do one with him“.
But Tony Collette confides everything even while Eastwood was trying to find more scenarios to direct in 2023: “I asked him what he did during the writers' and actors' strike, and he said, 'I'm looking for material to film. But I haven't found anything good…' Which means he's always up for it, infinitely creative, he's a true artist. I believe he will tour as long as he can.”
