Images of a fake trailer made by AI were included in a report on the Man of Steel, in the middle of the public channel's newscast.

Trapped by the AI. While he devoted a subject to Superman in its “Cult” section, the 20 Heures de France 2 news broadcast by mistake images of a fake trailer for the Superman of James Gunn.

Saturday evening, we were able to see in the Television News of the public channel a report on the documentary Supermandedicated to the life of Christopher Reevedirected by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui. A film around the first performer of Superman – tragically paralyzed following a horse riding accident – released in cinemas on October 9.

And to conclude the subject, we are confirmed that the legend of Superman continues today, with the Superman of James Gunnnew film about the DC hero now played by David Corenswetwhich will be released in theaters next summer. We then discover strangely ugly images, showing the actor in the red and blue costume of the Man of Steel (see above).

Images actually from a fake trailer (see below). A video put together by the Screen Culture channel, which compiles sequences from previous films and series, and uses AI to highlight David Corenswet under the red cape of Superman. A fake trailer posted 3 months ago and which has been seen by 500,000 people… but a fake trailer nonetheless. There are currently only two official images of David Corenswet in Superman (photo above and the one with his dog). The real trailer is still awaited.

The bad buzz has taken on such proportions that James Gunn in person reacted on social networks (with vomiting emojis to express his annoyance).

So France 2 was forced to apologize via a message (below) acknowledging the fault.

Superman will be released in theaters on July 9, 2025.
