It's war behind the scenes of God of War: the series starts from scratch

Kratos is not about to be entitled to his version in the flesh.

The adaptation of God of War in series barely getting out of the ground. Amazon Studios and Sony Picture Television have clearly not found the recipe for adapting the video game saga to the small screen. And according to the American press, the project is starting from scratch.

The showrunner hired to carry out the writing, Rafe Judkinsand his fellow executive producers (Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus) were landed. At least, they left the project, even though they had completed several scripts which did not please the studios which chose “to take a different creative direction“.

We throw away and start from a blank page for the live series God of Warwith Cory Barlog, creative director of Santa Monica studio (the one that developed the game) who remains on board as executive producer to oversee the adaptation.

Amazon and Sony are now looking for a new showrunner in order to form a new group of writers, but this means that the series, awaited for two years on Prime Video, will be delayed even further!
