After the incredible mini-series Get Back by Peter Jackson, it's the turn of Martin Scorsese to look into The Beatles.
The New York filmmaker had already filmed the Rolling Stones for Shine a Light (in 2008). This time he is interested in their most famous rivals and produced this film centered on the Beatles' tour of America in 1964.
Directed by David Tedeschithe film will be called Beatles '64 and will be released on Disney+ on November 29, the platform announced today.
It will feature never-before-seen footage of the band and their legions of young fans at the height of the Beatlesmania. It will also include new interviews with the two surviving Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

The documentary will follow Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr as they land in New York in February 1964 and assert their status as the biggest band in the world. Beatles '64 promises to tell “a more intimate behind-the-scenes story” of the Fab Four as they make their debut on The Ed Sullivan Show in front of more than 73 million viewers. At the time the most watched television event of all time…
Rare images of Beatles '64 were filmed by documentarians Albert and David Maysles, restored in 4K by Park Road Post in New Zealand, the company owned by Peter Jackson and which had already reworked the images of Get Back.
