La Cage, the MMA series by Franck Gastambide unveils its trailer

It will be available on Netflix this fall.

A punchline series if ever there was one, The Cage is preparing to open its doors. Netflix has just revealed the trailer (below) for its MMA series, which will tell the story of how a young French fighter ends up in the octagon, out of a passion for fighting and to pay off his family's debts.

Melvin Boomer (who played young Joey Starr in The World of Tomorrow) will play this budding champion, who will be coached and supervised by Franck Gastambide (also creator), who will play the wise old coach who comes out of retirement. The duo will be surrounded by true MMA legends, including Georges St.Pierre And Cyril Gane. RMC Sport subscribers will also recognize real commentators and consultants Taylor Lapilus, Antoine Simon and Thomas Desson during the fights.

“A young fighter who dreams of turning pro struggles to get noticed, until an unexpected fight throws him into the spotlight, and facing a formidable opponent” details the official synopsis.

The Cagein 5 episodes, November 8 on Netflix.
