Kamala Harris evades Colbert's question about 'major changes' she would make from Biden presidency

Vice President Kamala Harris stopped short of saying what “major changes” her administration would make compared to the Biden administration she currently serves during an interview Tuesday evening.

Harris sat down for a friendly interview with “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert, who pointed to polls showing voters want the 2024 election to be about change.

“You are a member of the current administration, but under a Harris administration, what would be the major changes and what would stay the same?” » asked Colbert.

“Of course, I’m obviously not Joe Biden,” Harris responded.

“I noticed,” Colbert joked.

“So that would be a change in terms of — but I also think it's important to say with 28 days to go, I'm not Donald Trump,” Harris said, drawing cheers from the liberal audience.

“And so when we think about the importance of what this next generation of leaders will look like, if I were to be elected president, it's about — frankly, I love the American people and I believe in our country. I love that it's our character and our nature is that of an ambitious people You know, we have aspirations, we have dreams We have an incredible work ethic and I just believe that we can create and. build on the success we have achieved so as to continue to expand opportunities and, in so doing, increase the strength of our nation,” Harris continued before touting his “opportunity economy” speech. talking about his mother, a small business owner.

Earlier in the day, during her media blitz, Harris was also asked on “The View” if she would have done anything different from the Biden presidency.

“Nothing comes to mind,” Harris responded, adding “I was involved in most of the decisions that had an impact.”

Critics slammed the Democratic nominee's comments, insisting they would immediately be used in a Trump ad to tie her to Biden, who was forced out as nominee by anxious Democrats in July. Biden dropped out of the race under pressure, and Harris quickly replaced him.
