Norman Reedus gives us some welcome explanations…

While the American biker continues his tricolor adventures, Daryl Dixon is extremely lucky: all the survivors on his route – and now within the confines of Mont Saint-Michel – speak impeccable English! A godsend, because he, on the contrary, still doesn't have the slightest word in the language of Molière.

Obviously, we understand that The Walking Dead being an American series, it would not have been thinkable to shoot everything in French. However, after several months of living in France, alongside Isabelle, Laurent and the others, how is it that Daryl Dixon still haven't progressed in a foreign language?

We asked the question to Norman Reedus. And the actor of Walking Dead smiles as he gives us this simple explanation: he himself doesn't speak French at all!

“I'm an actor who likes method acting. So I blend in with my character when I play. I don't speak French well, so neither does Daryl.”

It is of course necessary to understand a second degree form in this response, because in the process, Norman Reedus admits to having “made some progress. I understand French better today, I am better able to get by on my own in French. Besides, I live in an apartment in the 6th arrondissement and my daughter goes to school here.. . So yes, I love France!”

The 55-year-old actor tells us in passing that he “immediately felt at ease“far from the American filming he knew.”The people on the technical teams are very, very competent. And then it is a country of art and history, which gently infuses into our intrigue. The series breathes a little more than at the time of Walking Dead, in America, where it had to be exciting all the time. I think it gives a certain elegance to this spin-off.”

Season 2 of Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is currently running on Paramount+ in France.
