A Littleton climber was surprised by a marriage proposal from her boyfriend on Franconia Notch on Sept. 22. “I don’t want you to fall and die because I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” Jake said. “Will you marry me?” Jake proposed to his girlfriend, Ashley, while they were rock climbing with their friend Gannon, who captured the special moment on video. Jake said he, Ashley and their family spend a lot of time in the mountains. The happy couple plans to get married next fall on The Eaglet, a free-standing spire, in Franconia Notch.

A Littleton climber was surprised by a marriage proposal from her boyfriend on Franconia Notch on Sept. 22.

“I don’t want you to fall and die because I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” Jake said. “Will you marry me?”

Jake proposed to his girlfriend, Ashley, while they were rock climbing with their friend Gannon, who captured the special moment on video.

Jake said he, Ashley and their family spend a lot of time in the mountains.
