This September 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of Friendsone of the most cult sitcoms on American television. Since the death of Matthew Perry (Chandler) last year, the other leading actors of the series confide in turn about their memories of filming, and the evolution of their feelings over the years.
Lisa Kudrow for example, explained that he had long put off watching the whole thing Friends, for fear that the result would not be as funny as she had in mind. Finally embarking on a rewatch shortly after Perry's disappearance, she finally admits to laughing out loud, three decades later, at his best jokes.

Jennifer Anistonshe has never hidden her taste for rewatches: she regularly schedules rewatches of her favorite episodes in the company of another star of the show, her great friend Courteney Cox (Monica).
If she loves to rewatch cult scenes from Friends, would she be ready to sign on for a new sitcom? Not so sure. Asked specifically about this in the SmartLess Podcast, the leading actress of The Morning Showdelivers his doubts:
“If I had the certainty that it would be the same experience that I had with them, why not yes? But I doubt that it is possible.”
Jennifer Aniston then recounts how exceptional her experience in the series by Marta Kaufman and David Crane was:
“I miss filming Friends every day, you know? It was the best time of my career. The best time in the world.”
