A new promo reveals that Catherine's son will return to Seattle to attempt mediation…

Tensions will be high as soon as the show resumes. The crisis is brewing in the Seattle hospital and the first episode of season 21 of Grey's Anatomy will try to calm things down by bringing back the angel face Jackson Avery!

Indeed, at the end of season 20, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) resigned from his job at the hospital after Catherine Fox (Debbie Allen) discovered his secret research on Alzheimer's disease. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver), Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) are also caught in the storm. And showrunner Meg Marinis tells People magazine that “Everyone's jobs are on the line… Meredith, even though she had good intentions, crossed a line with Catherine and there will be consequences and ramifications.”

In a new promo (see here) for season 21, Catherine is heard raging against Meredith and threatening to sue her: “Your lawyers know where to find me“, answers the heroine of Grey's Anatomy. War will break out at Grey Sloan Memorial and even Bailey (Chandra Wilson) will slap Catherine…

Yes, it could very well degenerate then Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) – who we haven't seen for two years in the series – will be making his return to Seattle as the firefighter on duty. Judging by his face in the video in question, he is not happy about what is happening. We see him talking to Meredith and we assume that he is trying to reason with her, to avoid a trial.

Another character who will bring some air in this stormy climate: Sydney Heron is also back. The cheerful surgeon, who passed through Grey Sloan between seasons 2 and 4, will return as optimistic as she was 17 years ago. And that will still annoy the grumblers of Seattle.

Season 21 of Grey's Anatomy will be seen on September 26 in the United States and then in France on TF1.
