The story of Lyle and Erik Menendez promises to be truly spine-chilling!
Why did they coldly shoot their parents with shotguns one evening in 1989? Ryan Murphy And Ian Brennan unveil the new opus of their chilling anthology Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez. After making the whole world shudder with Dahmerthey look at a completely different “true crime”, a news story that shook America in the 1990s.
Lyle and Erik Menendez are two brothers convicted in 1996 for the murder of their parents, José and Kitty Menendez.
“While the prosecution believes the motive for the crime was to inherit the family fortune, the two brothers justify this double murder by the numerous physical, emotional and sexual abuse inflicted by their parents during their childhood. To this day, Lyle and Erik Menendez are serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.” reveals the synopsis.
The video posted online by Netflix (below) actually promises a sordid drama, telling the story of the will of the two brothers (played by Cooper Koch And Nicholas Alexander) to free themselves from the domination of their parents and especially their abusive and terrifying father, played by Javier Bardem. At his side, Chloe Sevigny will play the mother, Kitty Menendez. The whole question is to know to what extent this premeditated double murder was not motivated by the lure of gain and inheritance, in the first place…
Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez will be available to watch in France on September 19, 2024 on Netflix.
