Naomi Scott sinks into paranoia in Smile 2 [bande-annonce]

The curse continues and targets a pop star.

After the great box office success of the first part in 2022, Parker Finnthe director, wore a broad smile and found himself confident to continue scaring part of the audience. After all, the final scene of Smile Didn't she plan on a sequel? A continuation of this terrifying curse? Horror fans will therefore be all smiles – or grimacing – in front of Smile 2 who hopes to terrorize them a second time.

The victim haunted by the entity with the broad smile is none other than a singer, Skye Riley, played by Naomi Scottthe interpreter of Jasmine in the live version ofAladdin by Guy Ritchie. Aren't artists forced to smile at every moment despite the pressures of fame? Behind the rhinestones and glitter, his life turns into a bloody nightmare, awakening trauma after trauma.

Continuing to play the promotional card of the real pop star, the main character is invited on the very existing set of the show hosted by Drew Barrymore in which the actress allows her guests to confide. Does Skye Riley have things to reveal?

Revealing the faces that haunt her, the trailer revolves around the new victim sinking deeper into paranoia as she discovers she has only one week to end the curse. The clock is ticking…

Smile 2 Will it be as terrifying as the first one? At least that's what Lukas Cage assured (The White Lotus) present at the casting and who recounted how much the filming gave him chills:

“I didn’t throw up, but I felt really sick. I was really shocked by the intensity of the shooting days. You think: 'It's from theactingit'll be OK'but this movie is super scary. The whole crew was terrified. That smile in itself is so creepy, so if you add the gore scenes to that, yeah, I have a weak stomach. I'm a wimp.”

This sequel will also see the return of one of the characters from the first opus: Joel (Kyle Gallner). The film will be released on October 16 in theaters, perfect timing to get scared on Halloween.
