She will star in the war film, “Six Triple Eight,” which will revisit the story of the women of the only battalion composed entirely of African-American women deployed overseas during World War II.
They will bring hope to the front during the Second World War. Kerry Washington will be a captain in the US Army in The Messengers of Wara new historical Netflix film. A film for History, even, since Six Triple Eight (from its original title) lifts the veil on this only battalion (the 6888) composed solely of African-American women. The trailer has just been released:

According to Netflix, the feat of 6888th Postal Directory Battalion “has never been mentioned in the history books and has remained unknown to the entire American nation until today. On March 14, 2022, President Joe Biden signed a bill to award the women of this unit the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honor bestowed by that body..”
Directed by Tyler Perry, The Messengers of War will also feature Sam Waterston, Susan Sarandon, Oprah Winfrey, Ebony Obsidian and Milauna Jackson. Released on Netflix on December 20.
