Change of scenery and era for a focus on the Menendez BrothersLyle and Erik, convicted of the murder of their parents in 1989. The first teaser (below) is already chilling.

Trailer: After Dahmer, which serial killer for season 2 of Monster on Netflix?

“On August 20, 1989, Lyle and Erik murdered their parents.” This is what the very short new trailer for Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Storywhich incidentally announces a broadcast date on Netflix, September 19.

If Dahmer is a name that had crossed the Atlantic, that of Menendez Brothers only resonates in the United States. In 1996, Lyle and Erik were convicted of killing their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez, who had been killed seven years earlier in their home. During their trials, both pleaded self-defense, explaining that their father and father were abusing them. Enough to give Ryan Murphy food for thought about the figure of the monster.

Unlike the serial killer, Lyle and Erik Menendez are still alive and incarcerated in Southern California.

On screen, they will be played by Nicholas Alexander Chavez And Cooper Koch. We will also find Javier Bardem And Chloe Sevigny (already visible in American Horror Story: Hotel And Feud) in the role of parents, as well as Leslie Grossman (a Murphy-Verse regular for several years) as the lover of the brothers' psychiatrist to whom the murder was revealed.
