A woman was found dead underneath a bridge in Carnegie Sunday morning. A man is in jail in connection with this death as police investigate it as a homicide.According to the Allegheny County Police Department, county dispatch got a call around 6:20 a.m. to the 200 block of Mary Street. First responders found a woman who had been “severely beaten” underneath a bridge there.She was pronounced dead at the scene.Police said the woman and two men had been living under the bridge. One of those men was taken to the hospital earlier in the evening after he had a seizure. At that time, neither the woman nor the other man had any injuries. The second man was arrested and taken to Allegheny County Police Headquarters.The name of the woman who died has yet to be released, though police said everyone involved has been identified. Police are working with the county district attorney’s office to investigate.Police said there was no ongoing threat to the community.Anyone with information about this death is asked to call county police’s anonymous tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.This is a developing story.
