Kate Winslet stars as Lee Miller in World War II: trailer

The English actress will play this former Vogue model who became one of the first female war photographers.

After playing the crazy dictators in The Regime from HBO, Kate Winslet finds a much more serious role in Lee Millera biopic devoted to the heroic life of this former Vogue model and Man Ray muse who became one of the first female war photographers. “Having gone to the front and ready to do anything to bear witness to the horrors of the Second World War, she, through her courage and her refusal of conventions, changed the way people saw the world.”

Roadside Attractions has released the trailer for Lee Miller (above), who will tell us about his journey”over a decade in the life of this American war correspondent and photographer. Miller's singular talent and tenacity resulted in some of the most indelible war images of the 20th century, including an iconic photo of Miller herself, defiantly posing in Hitler's private bathtub. Above all, the film shows how Miller lived her life at full speed, searching for the truth, for which she paid an enormous personal price, forcing her to confront a traumatic and deeply buried secret from her childhood..”

Kate Winslet will give the reply to Andy Samberg And Alexander Skarsgard. The French women Marion Cotillard And Noémie Merlant will also make an appearance in the film.

Directed by Ellen Kuras, Lee Miller will be released in France in theaters on October 9, 2024.
