Stephen King's The Monkey to be adapted into a film with Theo James: first teaser

New adaptation of Stephen King in view: more than forty years after its publication in bookstores, the new The Monkey will be entitled to a feature film, carried by Theo Jamesstar of The Gentlemen (the Netflix series) and by Elijah Wood (star of the Lord of the Rings).

A first teaser has just been put online and offers a glimpse of the terrifying stuffed monkey in question, but also of a Theo James in blood.

The film will follow twin brothers Bill and Hall (both played by James) as they find their father's old silver toy in the attic of their childhood home.But as a wave of horrific deaths begins, the brothers decide to throw the monkey away and move on with their lives, drifting apart as the years go by. Then the mysterious deaths start again, and the brothers must reunite to find a way to destroy the monkey for good…”

The Monkey will be carried out by Osgood Perkinsto whom we recently owe Longlegswith Nicolas Cage. Tatiana Maslany (She-Hulk) will also be in the cast. James Wancreator of the universe Conjuring and co-creator of the franchises Saw And Insidiouswill be producer.

The Monkey will be released in theaters on February 21, 2025.
