She makes life hell for Astrid, played by Jenna Ortega.

The new trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice came out last week, and among all the antics and ravaged jokes orchestrated by the famous bio-exorcist, there was a little detail hidden among the apparitions.

At Astrid's (Jenna Ortega) new school, the teenager doesn't have an easy life and seems to be the target of mockery from her classmates. Among the group of girls making the ghost joke at the beginning of the trailer, the one in the center with black hair has been identified by keen-eyed fans as the director's daughter: Nell Burton.

Youngest daughter of Tim Burton and actress Helena Boham Carter, whom he met on the set of The Planet of the ApesNell was born in 2007 and is not the only child from this union. Before her, a boy named William Raymond was born in 2003.

Just as Burton has collaborated on several occasions with his ex-partner (a total of six times, Planet of the Apes to Dark Shadows), as a proud father, he has already given his daughter three appearances on screen before that of Beetlejuice 2. In 2010, she was a baby visible from afar in Alice in Wonderland. Two years later, in Dark Shadowsshe played a little girl waiting at the train station, in the background, as the main character gets off the train during the opening minutes of the film.

Then she plays one of the children in Big Eyes. Cinema is a family affair. Having separated from the actress in 2014, he has now been sharing his life with Monica Bellucci since 2023, and to whom he offers her first role in this sequel – playing Delores, a dead woman who looks like the bride of Frankenstein (and Beetlejuice?).

Will Nell Burton be visible beyond this brief appearance? To find out, you'll have to go to the theater on September 11.
