Jake Quaid, who already voices Clark Kent, admits to having auditioned for James Gunn's blockbuster.

In the animated series My Adventures with Supermanhe is the one who voices the superhero, and he would have liked to continue this incarnation in flesh and blood: Jack Quaid revealed during a recent podcast of Happy Sad Confused that he had tried his luck for the Superman of James Gunn.

“I think everyone has had this audition, right? laughs the star comedian of The Boys. If you meet certain criteria, that's what you're supposed to do. But I didn't get very far. I videotaped myself, and it didn't go anywhere. That's okay!”

Then returning with on his status of “nepo baby” (He is the son of actors Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid), Jack adds that he has no resentment towards the next Superman, nor is he jealous of his interpreter, David Corenswet.

“I'm actually totally cool with it, precisely because I know David a little bit,” explains the young actor. “We shot a pilot together a few years ago, which never came to anything… He's the kind of guy you meet and immediately you say to yourself: 'Oh yeah, when they do a Superman remake, he'll definitely be cast. This guy is Superman!'
