Brad Pitt in a F1: a first trailer with full throttle

A trailer that takes your breath away and plunges us straight into the cockpit of a Formula 1 car.

“Red Bull, Mercedes, Aston, Ferrari and now McClaren: they are all faster than us in a straight line…” But how Brad Pitt Will he do it to overtake the cream of the crop of motor racing with his car? Hollywood is tackling the Formula 1 and it promises to be mind-blowing, as evidenced by this first trailer for F1 (below) unveiled by Warner Bros. which puts the viewer directly in the seat!

Taking advantage of the Silverstone Grand Prix held this weekend across the Channel, the production team put this rock n'roll teaser online, to the sound of the cult British group Queen. We first see Brad Pitt discuss with Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin). He is looking for a solution to be efficient on the track again, while Max Verstappen and the others keep overtaking him and his Apex team. Some real faces of the Formula 1 appear in the video, which gives a glimpse of the Dutch world champion, but also of Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso.

We therefore understand that the feature film will take place in the heart of the current season of Formula 1 while Brad Pitt will play Sonny Hayes, a veteran pilot who comes out of retirement to mentor a young pilot, Joshua Pearce. “He's a driver who raced in the 1990s, had a horrible accident, and disappears. He goes to race in other disciplines. But his old friend, played by Javier Bardemowner of a team, contacts him and relaunches him. They are last on the grid, they have never scored a point. But they have a young phenomenon, played by Damson Idris…” recently described Brad Pitt to Sky Sports, before specifying: “We have cameras all over the car! You've never seen speed like that on screen!”

Indeed, judging by this trailer, the director Joseph Kosinski has clearly filmed a blockbuster at 100 miles an hour, which will be worth it mainly for its breathtaking racing sequences. The filmmaker knows how to do it. He had already amazed his world, in the same genre, with Top Gun: Maverick (2022) filming fighter jets like never before.

Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo will complete the cast.
