A new French series for Apple, which will tell the rivalry of two illustrious families in the world of fashion.

Fashion is trending on streaming platforms. After the historic saga of Christian Dior in The New Lookafter the ascension of Balenciaga and the loves of Karl LagerfeldApple TV+ will be introducing the medium into fiction in a luxury series led by Lambert Wilson And Carole Bouquet. A new French creation of the platform, which will be called The House. We discover the first photos and a release date today.

The story will tell the life of a legendary fictional fashion house, set in the present day. It will aim to tell “behind the scenes of a constantly evolving world, of an ideal of French elegance and luxury, sheltering the rivalry of two illustrious families, as dysfunctional as they are powerful, and their ruthless struggle to establish their domination in the universe haute couture.”

The official synopsis details: “Led by a scandal-ridden dynasty and forced to reinvent itself after the release of a video involving star designer Vincent Ledu, his family's haute couture house is hanging by a thread. Perle Foster, Vincent's former muse and still in his shadow today, joins forces with Paloma Castel, from a new generation of visionary stylists, in order to save and reinvent Maison LEDU. Taking advantage of Vincent's fall, Diane Rovel, the ruthless director of the powerful luxury group Rovel, goes on the offensive to accomplish her dream: to take over Maison LEDU. In his quest, everything is allowed because it is above all a question of satisfying his revenge.”

We will also find in the cast Amira Casar, Zita Hanrot, Pierre Deladonchamps, Antoine Reinartz, Anne Consigny, Florence Loiret Caille, Ji Min Park And Corentin Fila.

Created by showrunners José Caltagirone and Valentine Milville and based on an original idea by executive producer Alex Berger, the series is produced in part by Fabrice Gobert (Ghosts).

The first two episodes of The House will be available from Friday, September 20, 2024, followed by a new episode every week until Friday, November 15, 2024, on Apple TV+ and also in France on Canal +. Season 1 has 10 episodes.
