Actor Aaron Stanford talks about his comeback in the Marvel mutant universe. Without pajamas…

Tyler Maneaka Sabretooth, will have his revenge in Deadpool and Wolverine. And Pyro then? The actor Aaron Stanford will be making his comeback, as shown in a brief image from the film's official trailer. The 47-year-old will return to play John Allerdyce, aka the mutant Pyro, Charles Xavier's famous student who turned his jacket in X-Men 2 (in 2003) and X-Men: The Last Stand (in 2006). 18 years after his defeat, he will therefore make his return in Deadpool 3.

“I was just really happy to have a costume this time! Because in the original X-Men movies, Pyro is really shortchanged in terms of a costume.” Stanford is having fun in a interview with Entertainment Weeklybefore adding: “In X-Men 2, we start with Pyro at Xavier's school for gifted mutants. The SWAT team breaks in in the middle of the night and we all have to run. So for half the movie, I'm in my pajamas. I never had the cool leather tactical suit that all the X-Men wear. And in X-Men 3, I was just dressed normally. So to see him in a proper superhero costume, from the comics themselves, after all this time, was pretty cool.”

Shawn Levythe director of Deadpool & Wolverineconfirms that there will be a lot of cameos in his film, “even if we don't want them to represent the film itself. We spread them here and there throughout the film… There are a lot of characters and the Internet is full of rumors about the multitude of possible cameos. Some rumors are true, others are far from being founded…”

Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theaters on July 24.
