The 4-hour director's cut was originally released on streaming and VOD.
In 2020, Warner Bros. wrote a check for $70 million to Zack Snyderso he can finish his own version of Justice League. After the huge flop of the 2017 version directed by Joss Whedon – he had finished the film following the death of Snyder's daughter – the director of 300 so came out Zack Snyder's Justice Leagueon the HBO Max streaming platform. A nice marketing move for Warner which was then launching its online service.
And three years later, Zack Snyder's Justice League could well have another life, on the big screen. On social networks, Zack Snyder shared an image of Ben Affleck's Batman, accompanied by a teasing caption: “Want to see ZSJL (Zack Snyder's Justice League) on the big screen… stay tuned for the release date!”
This clearly seems to herald the imminent arrival of the 4-hour film in theaters.
However, Warner Bros. Discovery has not yet announced an official release.
