With Christian Slater as Harry.
Forget Michael C Hall as Dexter. There's a new Dexter Morgan on the small screen. The first images from the prequel series Dexter: Original Sin have just been put online and reveal Patrick Gibson (revealed in The OA) in the role of the serial killer, trained by his adoptive father, Harry, who will now be played by Christian Slaterreprising the role of the Miami cop. The photos also show Debra Morgan, the sister, who will be played by Molly Brown.
We understand from these photos that Dexter will already be well-versed in this prequel, with his killer methodology already established. The story will take place “in 1991 Miami, 15 years before the original series, as Dexter goes from college student to vengeful serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. Under the guidance of his father, Harry, he adopts a code designed to help him find and kill those who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on the radar of law enforcement.”
Clyde Phillipshistoric showrunner, will be back at the helm.
In the rest of the cast, Patrick Dempsey will be the probable villain, James Martinez will take on the role of Angel Batista, Christina Milian will be young Maria LaGuerta, Alex Shimizu will be young Vince Masuka and Reno Wilson will be Bobby Watt.
