U.S. women's national team soccer player Korbin Albert appears to have upset her teammates over her social media posts regarding the LGBTQ+ community earlier this year.
One of the TikTok videos she reposted included a sermon claiming that being gay and “feeling transgender” was wrong, according to The Athletic.

Another screenshot allegedly showed Albert liking an Instagram post mocking Megan Rapinoe's injury with the statement: “God takes time to perform miracles to make sure Megan Rapinoe sprains her ankle in her last game.”
Albert is set to compete in the Paris Olympics with the United States. Tierna Davidson addressed Albert's posts just days before the Americans played Zambia in their first Olympic match.
“It’s been tough. It was tough for me the first time it happened, and it was tough to hear how the fans took it because I feel like I want to be able to really represent the queer community well on this team, and so I want the fans to feel really welcome and feel like they can see themselves on this field on this team, so I don’t want them to feel like they’re not welcome here,” Davidson, who is gay, said on the “Good Game with Sarah Spain” podcast.

“I think it’s a tough situation that obviously affected me personally, given what she was talking about,” Davidson continued. “I think it’s something you have to learn as a young player, especially with the platform that you’re given. Your beliefs, or how you choose to express certain things, are very public and people are watching and listening. Whether it’s something you grew up with or it was instilled in you from a young age, and you may not know any better, it’s something that can hurt other people.”
Albert apologized for her posts but received boos from some spectators during the matches she attended.
Davidson added that she respects Albert as a teammate and hopes to help him learn.
