UFC fighter Jeff Molina came out as bisexual shortly after a video of him performing oral sex on another man leaked online.
Molina made the announcement on his Twitter account on Friday.
“Welp.. this sucks,” he began his post, which was shared through two photos from the notes section of his iPhone. “[Too Long; Didn’t Read]: I am bisexual.”
“It’s not like I wanted to do it, but the chance to do it when I was ready was taken away from me,” he continued.

“I tried to keep my love life away from social media,” Molina wrote. “I’ve dated girls my whole life and bottled up the feelings I had all through high school being on the wrestling team, all through college pursuing MMA, and even after. to have achieved part of the dream and entered the UFC.
Molina added that he hopes he comes out later in life, saying the “majority” of UFC fans are “homophobic.”

“The thought of my buddies, teammates and people I look up to for looking at me differently let alone treating me differently for something I can’t control was something I couldn’t understand. In a sport like this where the majority of the fans being the homophobic assholes that they are, I couldn’t see myself doing that during this part of my career.”
Molina added that he wants to be known for his skills and what he’s dedicated the last 11 years of his life to — not the “bi ufc fighter” that he says would simply translate to “gay ufc fighter.”

“At the end of the day, I know my character, my morals and who I am as a person. Even though I’m hated/shit, I get equal support and that means a fucking ton.”
The 25-year-old is 11-2 in 13 fights, four of which he won by knockout, another four by submission and the other three by decision.
