It was in an interview with Variety that she confided:
“I'm dying to be on that set. It would be so much fun to do Modern Family again. With a TV movie, maybe?”
Sofia Vergara tempers and believes that it is still too early to revive the sitcom that stopped four years ago. She does not know exactly when this TV movie could see the light of day, but she begs her comrade Ed O'Neill78 (who played her elderly husband in the series), not to die before they had the chance to film this reunion:
“I joke with him about it all the time. I'm like, 'Ed, don't die! Because if we do a Modern Family, it's going to take a while, and you're the oldest of us. You can't die!'”
Modern Familylaunched in 2009, ran for 250 episodes before ending in 2020.
