Beverly Hills icon and star of Charmed, the American actress was only 53 years old.

After years of battling cancer, Shannen Doherty died this weekend. The American actress was 53 years old.

The former 1990s superstar revealed in February 2020 that his cancer was no longer in remission and had progressed to stage 4.

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of the actress Shannen Doherty“confirmed Leslie Sloane, his representative, quoted by the American press today. “This Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of battling the disease. The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family requests privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”

Shannen Doherty began her acting career at a very young age. At the age of 11, she became Jenny Wilder in The Little House On The Prairie (1982-1984). Then as a teenager, she transformed into a high school pest in Fatal Games (Heathers), in 1988, alongside another young star of the time, Winona Ryder. A role that would allow her to access, a year later, 90210.

On October 4, 1990, the American channel Fox launched Beverly Hillsone of the biggest series in the history of American television, with Shannen Doherty as Brenda Walsh. She would remain for three seasons before being ousted by the production and having quarrels with the rest of the cast.

Shortly after, Shannen Doherty finds the light again by becoming the star of Charmedwhich once again enjoys great popular success.
