CHICAGO (CBS) — A firefighter was rushed to the hospital Monday evening from the scene of a fire in the South Chicago neighborhood.
While fighting the fire at 8639 S. Phillips Ave., the Fire Department called a mayday for a firefighter being lost, trapped, or otherwise unaccounted for.
The mayday was secured and all members were later accounted for, but one firefighter was taken to an area hospital with on-life-threatening injuries, the Fire Department said.
