CHICAGO (CBS) — Three people are dead following a crash on Illinois Route 53 near Kirchhoff Road in Cook County Saturday night.
According to Illinois State Police, just after 11:30 p.m. a vehicle traveling north on Route 53 struck a stationary vehicle on the right shoulder of the right.
Two others were hospitalized, one with life-threatening injuries.

All lanes of Interstate 53 northbound were closed for the investigation.
