The new trailer posted by Disney reveals who the villains will be in this prequel about the youth of Simba's father.
This time, Scar won't be the bad guy! During D23 held this weekend in Los Angeles, Disney unveiled the official trailer for Mufasa: The Lion Kingthe prequel to its 2019 live-action remake.
The video shows how Mufasa, a lost lion cub, will meet Taka, heir to a royal lineage. The two will grow up together, like brothers, and together fight this threat that hangs over their territory: that of the white lions, determined to hunt them…
The official synopsis also tells us that Mufasa's story will be told by Rafiki in flashbacks, with the help of Timon and Pumbaa. He wants “to pass on to the young lioness Kiara – the daughter of Simba and Nala – the legend of Mufasa.”
Mufasa: The Lion King will be released in theaters on December 18, 2024 and will be directed by Barry Jenkins.
