It’s the first time they’ve performed since the tragic bus crash two weeks ago that killed their band leader Gina Pellettiere and chaperone Beatrice Ferrari.Dozens of students were injured in the crash and some of them joined their bandmates on the field tonight. “It’s a very special night. I mean, this community has had a really hard time. Everyone pulls together,” one Farmingdale community member said.The performance at halftime was dedicated to the two educators who lost their lives. And a pep rally in the gym featured a gravity-defying performance with an upside-down drummer. “The kids. They were resilient like they couldn’t wait to be here tonight. To see the band and welcome them back,” another Farmingdale community member said.The community is trying to march forward on a positive note showing how they band together during the toughest of times.“It just warms your heart, you know, seeing this community.
