Sunny Deol’s blockbuster film Ghadar 2 is breaking many records every day at the box office. Now the film has joined the 400 crore club and has broken the lifetime collection of many films.
Gadar 2 has been doing well at the domestic box office since its release. According to Sacnilk.com, the pair of Tara Singh and Sakina have crossed the 400 crore mark.
The collection of the Anil Sharma-directed film saw a slight dip on its second Tuesday. The film has collected 11.50 crores in India on its 12th day.
Gadar 2’s first week collection is 284.63 crores. The film collected 20.5 crores on second Friday, 31.07 crores on second Saturday, 38.9 crores on second Sunday and 13.50 crores on second Monday. Gadar 2 has collected Rs 400.10 crore since its release on 11th August.
Gadar 2 stars Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel in lead roles. Gadar 2 is a sequel to Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001), in which Sunny played Tara Singh, a truck driver, while Amisha Patel played Sakina.
The film was set in 1947 during the partition of India. Gadar 2 is the story of Tara Singh, who sneaks into Pakistan to save his son and unleashes a slew of enemies.
Recently, Sunny Deol hosted a special screening of Ghadar 2 in London. Organized by the High Commission of India in London and its cultural wing, the Nehru Centre, a packed screening took place at the Vue Cinema Leicester Square on Monday.
Talking about the success of Ghadar 2, Sunny said, “Indians all over the world are celebrating this film, I can’t tell you how beautiful this film is. I never expected it to be the way it is now. I believe everyone wants it. His wife should be like Sakina and every woman wants her husband to be like Tara Singh.
