Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently awaiting the release of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’, has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate on October 6 in connection with the Mahadev betting scam. According to reports, 17 other Bollywood celebrities are also under the ED’s scanner for their involvement. The Enforcement Directorate is investigating Mahadev app developer Saurabh Chandrakar’s attendance at a wedding and success party in the UAE in February this year. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, at least 15 to 20 celebrities are under investigation by the ED. Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Azgar, Vishal Dadlani, Tiger Shroff, Neha Kakkar, Eli Avram, Bharti Singh, Sunny Leone, Bhagyashree, Pulkit, Kirti Khabanda, Nusrat Bharucha, Krishna Abhishek are names in this list.
ED has summoned Ranbir Kapoor in the online betting case
Online betting platform Mahadev Book App is being investigated by the ED and police departments of several states. According to digital evidence collected by the Enforcement Directorate, Rs 112 crore was sent to an event management company through hawala, while hotel bookings worth Rs 42 crore were paid in cash, sources revealed last month.
