Businesswoman Kathy Ireland on AI: ‘I can’t stress enough the need to be vigilant’

As a businesswoman, Kathy Ireland follows the rapid advances in artificial intelligence with keen interest.

“It’s very interesting – it’s certainly evolving quickly – and we need to be attentive to it,” she told Fox News Digital.

“Like all technology, it can be used for good or evil. So we need to be mindful and mindful of it. And I can’t stress enough the vigilance and protection we all need.

“Let’s try to use it wisely and protect ourselves against the negative impacts it could have.”

Since founding her company, Kathy Ireland Worldwide, in 1993, Ireland has gradually built up her portfolio to create a $500 million business.

“[It] started with just one pair of socks, then moved into Apparel, Fashion, Home Fashion, Health & Wellness, Telemedicine, Fintech [financial technology], merchant services, wonderful businesses, entertainment. All of this must be consistent with our mission and vision to teach, inspire, empower and make our world a better place,” Ireland said.

And after 30 years of activity, Ireland is still “energetic” to continue building.

“I feel like we’re a baby brand that’s just getting started when I see needs that are way bigger than me,” the mom of three said. “And I see opportunities that are much bigger than me too, [and] it’s inspiring for our team and keeps us going.
