A man is dead following a crash in Beaver Falls on Saturday. The crash happened just before midnight in the area of 24th Street and 8th Avenue. Beaver County Coroner David Gabauer told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 on Monday that Cody Vorderbruggen, 30, of Beaver Falls, died in the crash.The manner of death was given as blunt force trauma to the head, neck and trunk. The death has been ruled an accident. On Monday, White Township Volunteer Fire Department, based in Beaver Falls, posted on Facebook that Vorderbruggen had been a firefighter on their team for several years.”Cody enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, fire fighting and family among other activities,” the post read. “Cody will be missed at the Station and we offer our deepest condolences to Cody’s family.”The crash remains under investigation.
