The 69th National Film Awards 2021 were announced on Thursday. The Hindi film ‘Rocketry: The Numby Effect’ won the National Award for Best Feature Film.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt won the best actress award for her performance in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and Kriti Sanon for her performance in ‘Mimi’.

Actor Allu Arjun created history by winning the National Award for Best Actor for his blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. After Allu won the Best Actor award, a video of Pushpa celebrating the moment with the team surfaced online.

In the video, Allu Arjun gets emotional as he shares a long and warm hug with director Sukumar. The rest of the film’s team was seen cheering and celebrating the actor.

Allu Arjun became the first Telugu actor to win a National Award. Fans are congratulating him for this performance.

Pushpa: The Rise is the first film in the franchise directed by Sukumar. Released on 17 December 2021, Allu Arjun played the role of Pushparaj alias Pushpa, a truck driver who smuggles red sandalwood for a living.

Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead Srivalli, while Fahadh Faasil has been introduced as the main antagonist.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR tweeted for Allu Arjun, “Congratulations @alluarjun bawa. You deserve the success and awards that #Pushpa has got.” Responding to her, the actor commented, “Thank you so much for your heartfelt wishes Bava. touched decent.”

Chiranjeevi Konidela also wrote on the micro-blogging site, “Heartiest congratulations to all the award winners of the 69th National Film Awards 2021!!! A proud moment for Telugu cinema too.
