Stunning new images from Fede Álvarez's horror film.
In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream… The cult refrain ofAlien will be brought up to date this summer at the cinema with Alien: Romulus. Fede Alvarez wanted to return to the roots of the saga, as he explains in this brand new video shared by 20th Century Studios (see below).
A featurette that takes us behind the scenes ofAlien: Romulus. “The whole idea of the film is to go back to the fundamentals of the saga to make a horror film again.” says the filmmaker in the video, while the star, Cailee Spaeny explains that the story takes place just between Alien, the eighth passenger And Aliens, the return.
In the process, we are told that everything was filmed in real life, without green screens and that “Each of the creatures was built for real so that the rendering is as realistic as possible..” This sounds terrifying.
In the casting, Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) will succeed Sigourney Weaver, Noomi Rapace and Katherine Waterston. She will be surrounded by David Jonsson (You and me ?), Isabella Merced (The Last of Us), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Spike Fearn (Aftersun) and Aileen Wu to face a new Xenomorph.
This is the 7th official Alien film (not counting its spin-offs) Alien vs. Predator) since 1979, but its plot will only take into account the stories of the first two episodes, The Eighth Passenger by Ridley Scott and Aliensby James Cameron (1986).
Alien: Romulus will be released in theaters on August 14, 2024 in France
