ALF's Little Boy Is Dead

Actor Benji Gregory was 46 years old.

The Tanner family is in mourning. Benji Gregorywho played the little boy in ALFthe cult series of the 1980s, has died. He was found on June 13 in his car, parked in front of a bank in Peoria, Arizona, reports TMZ. According to initial findings, he had gone to the bank the day before and fell asleep, possibly succumbing to heatstroke brought on by the extreme temperatures that have hit Arizona in recent weeks. Hans, Gregory's service dog, who was with him, also died.

According to his sister, Benji Gregory suffered from depression, bipolar disorder and sleep disturbances that kept him awake for days. The official cause of his death remains pending.


Gregory had become famous as Brian Tanner in ALFwhich aired for four seasons (from 1986 to 1990). A child star, he then made appearances in Fantasy Island, The Fourth Dimension Or The A-Team. He was also in the cast of another 80's classic, Punky Brewsterplaying an orphan named Dash.

Benji Gregory was 46 years old.
